In the latest salvo in the great photo-retouching rippling debate about fashion magazines around the world, Jessica Simpson has a decidedly au naturel relative position. The 29-year-old singer celebrity wore no make-up is displayed, and dried in the air-hair in several photos in the May issue of the magazine Marie Claire. And if people are not the way it looks in the pictures, well, they do not give a damn.
"I have nothing to prove anymore," Simpson told the magazine. "What do other people think of me is not my thing." Joanna Coles, editor in chief of Marie Claire, said she thought Simpson was for the implementation, as brave out there in a way that most celebrities would never dare not. Coles added that the whole realm of make-up and hair styling may be addressed trivial or even silly on the surface, but the questions of Simpson's photo shoot actually quite complicated for women around the world.
"The expectations of young women today are incredibly high," said Coles. "You have to do well in school and get a great job in this crazy market and have a gymnast of the body. ... But they can detect and women that it is a fine day to no paint, it's okay be by yourself, it's nice to celebrate who you are and who you want to be. "
