Kevin Eubanks, longtime front man for Jay Leno's "Tonight Show has" music band finally decided to call it finished. He leaves his 15 year tenure in May after 18 years with the late-night host. He told Leno on Monday during the Tonight Taping in Burbank, California, that he was ready for a career change of pace, but he did not announce concrete plans.
Kevin Eubanks called the NBC late-night "home show" and said it was "a wonderful experience," working there. Eubanks, whose tasks included comic sidekick to Leno and guitarist, has been on board since Leno took over in 1992 was Tonight. Kevin Eubanks was the musical director at Branford Marsalis in 1995, abandoned. In February, NBC said Kevin Eubanks interest in the personal and toured had expressed.
